In April 2025, Oceans 5 Gili Air will proudly celebrate its 15th anniversary as a leading PADI Career Development Centre in Indonesia. For over a decade and a half, Oceans 5 has been committed to providing high-quality dive training, environmental conservation, and community engagement. To mark this special milestone, Oceans 5 Gili Air wants to give something back to the Indonesian Dive Community.
Giving Back to the Indonesian Dive Community
Operating a dive business in Indonesia, one of the world’s most breathtaking underwater destinations, comes with a responsibility. Oceans 5 recognizes the importance of supporting the local dive industry and ensuring that Indonesian divers have access to professional training opportunities. While many Indonesians work in the diving industry, not all of them have had the chance to complete their PADI Divemaster certification due to financial or logistical challenges.
To celebrate its 15-year journey and share its passion for diving, Oceans 5 Gili Air is proud to announce a special initiative: 15 FREE PADI Divemaster Internships!
Free PADI Divemaster Internship Details
Oceans 5 Gili Air is offering 15 free 3-month Divemaster Internships in 2025. This program is designed for Indonesian citizens who aspire to become PADI professionals and take their diving careers to the next level. The internship will provide hands-on experience, professional development, and mentorship in one of Indonesia’s most respected PADI Career Development Centres.
Internship Start Dates & Availability
To ensure quality training and personalized attention, Oceans 5 Gili Air will only accept a maximum of 5 Divemaster Candidates per starting date:
- April 1, 2025
- July 1, 2025
- October 1, 2025
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for this free PADI Divemaster Internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be an Indonesian Citizen
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must already be certified as a Rescue Diver
What’s Included in the Internship?
The free Divemaster Internship covers:
- Three months of comprehensive training under experienced PADI professionals
- Practical experience in a real-world dive shop environment
- Mentorship and guidance to develop leadership and professional skills
- Opportunities to assist in various PADI courses and programs
- Exposure to environmental conservation efforts and Oceans 5’s eco-focused initiatives
What’s Not Included?
While the internship training itself is free, the following costs are not covered:
- PADI Digital Divemaster Crewpack (required for the course)
- PADI Membership & Certification Fees
- Accommodation during the internship period
Applicants will be responsible for arranging their own housing and covering these necessary costs to complete their PADI Divemaster certification.
